Two paramedics were injured when an ambulance and school bus collided Saturday morning in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The crash occurred at 8:52 a.m. at the intersection of West Grand and North Central avenues, Chicago Police spokesman Michael Sullivan said.
The ambulance was en route to an emergency call in the 5900 block of West Grand when the crash occurred, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Joe Roccasalva.
Two paramedics were treated and released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Resurrection Medical Center after suffering non-life threatening injuries, Roccasalva said. The driver of the school bus refused medical treatment.
There were no children aboard the school bus, Sullivan said.
