One man was killed and two others were injured in a crash early Sunday on the Bishop Ford Expy. on the Far South Side, authorities said.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 3:32 a.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of Interstate 94 near 111th Street, Illinois State Police Master Jeanette Sergeant Beck said.
Jonell Barlow, 27, of Griffith, Ind., was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:25 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Two others were taken to Roseland Community Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Alcohol was thought to be a factor in the crash, Illinois State Police said in a release.
