The body of a Harold Washington College student who was reported missing last month was found decomposing in a Pilsen apartment this week, authorities said.

Michelle Manalansan, 29, was last seen Feb. 9 wearing a pink jogging suit near her North Loop residence, in the 300 block of East South Water Street, according to a missing person alert issued at the time.

Her decomposed body was found Sunday in an apartment in the Pilsen community in the 1400 block of West Cullerton Avenue, authorities said.

Police continue to investigate the cause of her death; an autopsy was inconclusive.
