Updated: March 17, 2013 11:04AM

More than two dozen people were displaced from an early morning fire at an apartment building in the Northwest Side Albany Park neighborhood Sunday.

Crews responded the fire in the three-story building in the 4800 block of North Lawndale Avenue sometime before 3:45 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

A still-and-box alarm was called after firefighters discovered rear porches on the fully-occupied building in flames, according to dispatch reports.

There were no injuries from the blaze, according to Fire Media, but approximately 28 people were displaced as a result, according to the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago.

The Red Cross Disaster Action team responded to the fire scene and provided residents with food, clothing, and shelter, according to a Red Cross spokeswoman. The Red Cross has provided breakfast and mental health services to those displaced by the blaze, and was looking to open a temporary shelter at a nearby facility.
