Man dead after falling from horse in northwest suburb

November 12, 2009

A Chicago man died Wednesday, more than two weeks after falling from a horse in northwest suburban Barrington Hills.

Robert Boyle, 49, of the 1500 block of West Wilson Avenue, was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Boyle was apparently thrown from a horse at an address on Old Sutton Road in Barrington on Oct. 28, according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Barrington Hills police were not immediately available for comment.
