Man fatally shot on South Side

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot early Sunday in the Douglas area on the South Side.
The man was shot in the chest at 12:26 a.m. in the 3500 block of South Lake Park Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
Clifford Edwards, of the 840 block of East 38th Place, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 2 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Edwards was shot on the 3500 block of South Lake Park Avenue, according to the medical examiner's office.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
