WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will visit the Argonne National Laboratory in the southwest suburbs next Friday, a White House official told the Sun-Times, with the visit to focus on energy.
Argonne is one of the Department of Energy’s biggest national laboratories, managed by the University of Chicago.
Obama was last in Chicago on Feb. 15 on a post-State of the Union trip where he spoke at the Hyde Park Academy.
First Lady Michelle Obama was in Chicago Feb. 28 hitting McCormick Place for an event to mark the third anniversary of her “Let’s Move” program.
