Elgin bank robbed

An Elgin bank branch was robbed Saturday morning, authorities said.
About 9:15 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the Fifth Third Bank branch at 1645 Larkin Ave. and announced the robbery, Elgin police said.
The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
This was the 29th bank robbery in the Chicago area this year, according to the FBI.
