A 21-year-old man has been charged with the 2011 fatal shooting of a cook who was gunned down as he took a smoking break outside the South Side barbecue restaurant where he worked. Police said Joshua Hudgins was still wearing his apron and taking a smoking break when he was shot around 9 p.m. on July 12, 2011, outside Alice’s Bar-B-Que, 65 E. 43rd St., where he had worked for more than 10 years. Hudgins was not the intended target, police said. Michael Pryor, of the 200 block of West Swann Street, was charged with first-degree murder, police said Saturday and held without bail.
