Event offers minority- and women-owned firms help winning state contracts

Minority- and women-owned businesses can learn how to compete for state contracts at a Monday seminar entitled “Winning with the State.’’
The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Hermann Hall, 3241 S. Federal St., Chicago.
Session topics include electronic bidding, the state’s contracting process, doing business with the Illinois Tollway, and U.S. Department of Transportation short-term lending and bonding.
