Trooper hurt involved in west suburban crash

An Illinois State Police trooper was one of at least two people hospitalized from a crash in the west suburbs Thursday morning.
The crash happened about 7:45 a.m. at Geneva and Gary in Wheaton, State Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said.
A female State Police Elgin District trooper was involved in the crash, Bond said.
The trooper and at least one other person were taken to area hoispitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Bond said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation as of about 9:30 a.m.
