Calm weather Monday will give way to a stormy Tuesday, when a mix of snow, sleet and rain is expected.
Monday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-30s , even inching close to 40, National Weather Service meteorologist Gino Izzi said Sunday.
After midnight Monday, temperatures will fall and winds will increase to 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph early Tuesday.
Temperatures will be in the low 30s on Tuesday, and there’s a 90 percent chance of precipitation. Snow and sleet will arrive in the morning, changing to snow by the afternoon, Izzi said.
Potential snowfall could range from no accumulation to more than six inches, he said.
Wind gusts will range from 30 to 40 mph, Izzi said.
