North Side man charged with sexually assaulting boy

A North Side man has been charged with forcing a young boy to perform sex acts at a Glenview park last spring.
Ryan Ruiz, 31, of the 2900 block of West Diversey in the Belmont Gardens neighborhood, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sex abuse, court records show.
Prosecutors said he forced a boy younger than 13 to touch him and perform sex acts in May at Johns Park in the 2100 block of Central Road in Glenview.
Cook County Judge Israel Desierto ordered Ruiz held in lieu of $250,000 bail on Sunday.
