A car was clipped by a Metra train near the end of its run Friday afternoon in south suburban Blue Island.
About 3:10 p.m., Rock Island District train 603 clipped a car as its neared the Vermont Street Station, said Metra spokesman Michael Gillis.
No injuries were reported.
The train was travelling at a slow speed at the time of the collision, Gillis said, adding that it was unclear how the vehicle ended up in the train’s path.
There were no delays on any Metra lines as a result of the collision. Sun-Times Media
