3 dead, teen badly hurt in Roseland crash

Three people — a woman, her boyfriend, and his twin brother — were killed, and a 15-year-old girl was injured when the woman lost control of her car and struck three parked vehicles Saturday in Roseland on the Far South Side.
The 2008 Kia Optima that the woman, 20, was driving was northbound on State Street at a high rate of speed in a residential area near 102nd Street before the deadly wreck at 8:30 a.m., police Officer John Mirabelli said.
The woman’s boyfriend, 22, was seated next to her. Behind him was his twin brother, and seated next to the twin was the teenage girl, Mirabelli said. It was not known what relation the girl had to any of the other three victims, whose names were not released.
At 102nd and State streets, the woman lost control of the Kia and struck a 2007 Buick Lacrosse, a 2005 Toyota Camry and a 2004 Buick Rendezvous SUV, Mirabelli said. The Lacrosse was sent into a light pole and wrapped around it; the Camry was pushed into the middle of the street, and the Rendezvous was pushed up against a curb. No one was in any of those three parked vehicles at the time, Mirabelli said.
The driver was dead on the scene, Mirabelli said. Her boyfriend died at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and his brother died at Stroger Hospital, Mirabelli said. The girl was taken in serious to critical condition to Christ Hospital.
