Police: Man pulled from Chicago River after suicide attempt near Union Station

A man who police said jumped into the Chicago River near Union Station in an apparent suicide attempt was pulled from the water by Chicago Fire Department divers Tuesday morning. The man went into the water from the Adams Street bridge around 9:20 a.m., according to the fire department and the police, who said he appeared to be in his 40s. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition.
