CTA bus driver passes out, crashes into 20 parked cars

A CTA bus crashed into about 20 parked cars in the Logan Square neighborhood Friday morning when the bus driver lost consciousness.
The accident happened about 8:45 a.m., according to CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis. The No. 76 Diversey bus was westbound at Kedzie when the bus operator lost consciousness and the bus crashed into about 20 parked cars, Lukidis said.
No one on the street was injured, but quite a few parked cars were damaged.
One bus passenger was taken to a hospital, as was the bus driver, Lukidis said. Their conditions were not immediately known.
It was not known what sort of medical condition caused the bus driver to lose consciousness, Lukidis said.
