Police: Man made obscene gestures before grabbing girl

An Oak Lawn man allegedly made “obscene gestures with his tongue” before grabbing an underage girl in Englewood.
David Brown, 60, pulled up his green mini-van next to the girl in the 1900 block of West 63rd Street about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. Then, the 60-year-old reached out of the driver’s side window and grabbed the girl, but she ended up freeing herself and began yelling.
Brown allegedly drove off before officers, who were given a description of his van, stopped him taken into custody in the 2400 block of West 79th Street. The victim later identified Brown, police said.
Brown was charged with attempted kidnapping.
