Police: Man holds woman against her will at spa

Police took a man into custody after he walked into a spa on the South Side and allegedly held a woman against her will Friday night.
Police responded to the hostage situation about 7:10 p.m. after a man walked into a business in the 3100 block of South Archer and became “disgruntled,” police said. A police source said the man walked into Archer Spa and took a woman into the back room.
The situation ended with the man in custody and the woman being taken to an area hospital with minor injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
Charges were pending against the man as of Friday night.
