At least two people were hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash that snarled traffic for hours during the Tuesday morning commute on the Far South Side.
The crash happened about 5 a.m. in the 2000 block of East 130th Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
At least two people were injured in the wreck, Kubiak said. Both were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Police did not have information about their conditions or genders Tuesday morning.
The crash left just one lane open to traffic in each direction on the east-to-west traveling 130th Street, with vehicles being diverted near the Bishop Ford Bridge, police said.
The traffic jam continued into the morning commute Tuesday morning, causing extended delays, police said.
