The wrong-way driver of a car that crashed head-on into a car in the westbound lanes Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (Interstate 90) in northwest suburban Rosemont early Sunday was arrested on a charge of DUI, Illinois State Police said.
Three people were injured in the crash at 5:17 a.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes of I-90, according to Illinois State Police Tollway District Sgt. Craig Thompson. They were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with injuries that were not life-threatening, Thompson said.
The three westbound lanes were closed to traffic for less than an hour as police investigated and crews cleaned up the scene, Thompson said. He did not have any details on the driver’s identity.
