2 injured in CTA train derailment near Midway Airport

Two people were injured when a CTA Orange Line train derailed in a train yard early Friday near Midway Airport in the Garfield Park neighborhood.
The train derailed in the 4600 block of West 59th Street about 2 a.m. Friday and injured two people, according to Fire Media Affairs.
The Orange Line train was pulling into the train yard when the derailment occurred, CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis said.
No one was aboard the train but CTA employees suffered minor injuries, Lukidis said.
The derailment will not affect the morning commute, Lukidis said.
