Park Ridge man killed in apparent hit-and-run

A Park Ridge man was killed in an apparent hit-and-run near a road in a wooded area near northwest suburban Des Plaines, officials said.
Ronald Bougan, 52, was found around 6 p.m. Monday by a bicyclist along Touhy Avenue, east of Interstate 294, officials said.
Bougan’s injuries were consistent with someone who was hit by a car, officials said.
Authorities could not say why he was walking in that area but added family members told police he walked or biked almost everywhere he went.
Police did not have a description of the vehicle involved in the incident.
