Emergency crews are on the scene of an extra-alarm fire Monday morning in the South Chicago neighborhood.
Firefighters were on the scene of the blaze in the 8800 block of South Escanaba Avenue by 4:30 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.
The response to the fire was elevated to a 2-11 alarm shortly after.
Unconfirmed dispatch reports indicated the flames had spread from the initial building that caught fire to two other structures.
