A group of teenage boys has robbed people at gunpoint this month in the South Chicago neighborhood, according to a community alert issued by police on Saturday.

The four teenagers—ages 16 to 18—have approached their victims in the 6800 to 7000 block of South Bennett Avenue, the alert said. During the robberies, one of the teens took out a chrome or silver handgun, the alert said.

Police described the gun-totting teenager as 5-foot-9 and styles his hair in an Afro. He was seen wearing a gray sweat suit, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the robberies can contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
