Four girls charged in robbery of two U of C students

Four teenage girls were charged Tuesday with the armed robbery of two University of Chicago students near the South Side campus, according to a news report.
The four girls — 17, 16, 15 and 14 — were charged with robbing two people at 12:15 a.m. on the 5600 block of South Blackstone, police said. WFLD-Channel 32 reported that the two victims were University of Chicago students.
One of the girls brandished a handgun Monday and pistol whipped one of the students, who was later hospitalized.
