Two teen girls hit by vehicle after they leave Lane Tech High

Two teen girls were injured — one critically — after being hit by a vehicle Monday night as they left Lane Tech High School on the North Side, officials said.
The girls, both 15, were leaving from a class project at the school when they were hit in the 3500 block of North Western, police said.
Paramedics took both girls to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.
The girls attend Whitney Young High School, police said.
The driver remained at the scene.
