Police: woman, 21, killed in a domestic dispute

A 21-year-old woman died after she was shot during a domestic dispute in the Northwest Side Cragin neighborhood Saturday morning, according to police.
The shooting occurred about 9:10 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Wolfram Street, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak.
The victim was shot in the head, Kubiak said. She was taken in “extremely critical” condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.
She later died from her injuries, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The medical examiner’s office had no further details as of early Saturday afternoon.
A Chicago Police Department source said investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Area North detectives are investigating.
