Cop, two others hurt in squad car crash

A vehicle crashed into a squad car in Englewood Wednesday night, leaving a Chicago Police officer and two other people hurt.
The accident happened near 75th street and Union Avenue before 9:30, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said, citing preliminary information.
A vehicle hit a police squad car, injuring an officer and two civilians, Gaines said.
All three people hurt were stabilized, according to Fire Media Affairs. Paramedics took the officer to an unspecified area hospital, and transported the two civilians to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Two people were arrested following the crash, authorities said. The cause of the wreck was not yet clear Wednesday night.
