Autopsies: two men found in trunk were beaten to death

Two men whose bodies were found in the trunk of a car in the Southwest Side Brighton Park neighborhood earlier this week suffered blunt head trauma from an assault and their deaths were ruled homicides, autopsies revealed Saturday.
Police discovered the bodies in the trunk of a car in the 2400 block of West 45th Street about 10:10 a.m. Friday, according to News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien.
The men, whose identities were not yet known were both believed to be in their 40s, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
