About 10:15 a.m., a man handed a note announcing a robbery to a teller at the TCF Bank branch in the Jewel store at 1200 S. Ashland Ave., according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.
The robber, described as a black man approximately 5-feet, 9-inches, tall and weighing 230 pounds, wearing a baseball cap, a button-down shirt and blue jeans, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, Perez said. No one was injured in the bank robbery.
