Five people injured in taxicab and vehicle crash on Northwest Side

Five people were hurt in an accident early Tuesday in the Northwest Side Wicker Park neighborhood.
The accident happened about 12:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Division Street, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
A car collided with a taxi, and the driver and four passengers were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Gaines.
Police said the car was missing a tire and riding on rim when hit ran a red light and hit the cab.
Five people were taken by ambulance from the scene in serious-to-critical condition, according to Fire Media Affairs.
Unconfirmed dispatch reports indicate three people were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County and two to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
