A Schaumburg father was killed and his two children were injured after he lost control of his car on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway near Arlington Heights, officials said.
Jeffery Loring, 39, was heading east on I-90 in a silver Kia with his children — a 7-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl — when he hit the back of another car and drove into a ditch, where the car flipped over, officials said.
Loring, of the 1000 block of Dickens Way, died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, officials said. On Saturday, Loring and his children were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois State Police said. The children suffered minor injuries.
