A 14-year-old boy was seriously wounded in a South Side Washington Park neighborhood shooting that also left another man injured.
The boy and a 51-year-old man were outside in the 200 block of East Garfield Boulevard about 9:20 p.m. when a male suspect shot them both, police said.
The teen was shot in the abdomen and is in serious condition at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital early Sunday, police News Affairs Officer Greer said.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm and was taken in “stable” condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Greer said.
No arrests have been made in the connection with the shooting, which is under investigation by Area Central detectives.
