L rider hits third rail at Howard stop

An L train rider was conscious after she slipped and made contact with the electrified third rail Sunday night at a North Side station, according to a Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman.
A female customer fell onto the northbound track at the CTA’s Howard Station in the Rogers Park neighborhood, said transit agency spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski. She was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Hosinski said.
Power was shut down between 10:28 p.m. and 10:41 p.m. on the Red Line, she said.
