CTA rider conscious after hitting third rail

An L train rider was conscious after she slipped and made contact with the electrified third rail at a North Side station Sunday night, according to the Chicago Transit Authority.
A female fell onto the northbound track at the CTA’s Howard Station in the Roger’s Park neighborhood, said transit agency spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski. She was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Hosinski said.
