Four people were shot Tuesday evening in the Southwest Side Marquette Park neighborhood.
The shooting occurred in the 6000 block of South Rockwell Avenue at about 5:38 p.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.
Four males, between 17 and 18 years old, were shot in the extremities, Zala said, citing preliminary information. One was shot in his right knee, another was shot in his right hand, and the other two were shot in their right foot and right thigh, respectively.
Fire Media Affairs said three were transported to area hospitals. One was in “stable” condition to Holy Cross Hospital and one was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn. Another male was taken in “stable” condition to Saint Bernard Hospital.
The shooting was a possible gang-related drive-by, Zala said.
There is no one currently in custody but Area Central detectives are investigating.
