Police and Fire Department personnel were on the Chicago River in the West Loop area Wednesday afternoon to monitor a construction barge that was taking on water.
Firefighters and the police Marine Unit responded to Canal and Adams at the river about 1:26 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs spokeswoman Meg Alheim.
By about 2:25 p.m., all fire compnaies had left the scene, Alheim said.
There were no injuries connected to the incident, which was turned over to the construction company, she said.
