Video: Sorry, Chicago but Dwyane Wade says ‘my family’s in Miami’

Sorry, Chicago (er, Robbins) but you can no longer claim Dwyane Wade as your own.

Even though he left the South Side more than a decade ago to play basketball at Marquette and then for the Miami Heat, Wade has always claimed Chicago as home and vice versa. Heck, he even had one of those Rick Reilly made-for-TV homecoming parties at his high school alma mater, Richards in Oak Lawn.

Well, it sounds as if D-Wade has officially transplanted to South Beach.

The two-time NBA Champion told Heat fans (5:40 mark of video) during Monday’s NBA title celebration that “my family’s in Miami.” OK, but he still has a condo here.
