7 rescued from Lake Michigan

Seven people were rescued from Lake Michigan late Sunday after their boat struck a break wall off of Calumet Beach on the Far South Side near the Indiana border, officials said.
The U.S. Coast Guard responded about 11:20 p.m. to the report of boat that collided with the rock break wall about a half-mile to a mile off the beach at East 98th Street, according to a Coast Guard Calumet District Petty Officer.
All seven people were rescued. They werer treated at the scene, according to Fire Media Affairs. No one was taken to a hospital.
