Elderly woman dies weeks after being hit by car near her SW Side home

An elderly woman died Sunday nearly three weeks after being struck by a car near her home in the Southwest Sight Brighton Park neighborhood.
Bernice Herman, 75, of the 3000 block of West 41st Street, was hit by a car in the 4100 block of South Archer Avenue on May 21, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
She was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital 10:59 a.m. Sunday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Police could not immediately provide additional information.
