Motorcyclist struck by SUV dies

A motorcycle rider struck by an SUV making an illegal U-turn in Englewood Monday has died.
Jonathan Allen, 19, of the 4900 block of South Forrestville Avenue, was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Allen was riding his motorcycle south on Loomis Boulevard when a northbound SUV making an illegal U-turn hit him, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
Edward Goss, 57, of the 2500 block of West 67th Street was cited for improper U-turn, Gaines said.
The Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
