About 21 passengers are being evacuated from a regional jet after it collided with a cargo plane on a taxiway at O’Hare International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
At 1 p.m., a Boeing 747 cargo plane, departing to Anchorage, Ala., was on a taxiway when its wing clipped the rudder of an American Eagle Embraer 135 arriving from Springfield, Mo., that was pulling into a gate, FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro said.
There were no injuries reported in what Fire Media Affairs is calling a “minor” collision between the 747 cargo plane and an American Eagle jet.
Firefighters evacuated both planes.
