About $5,000 worth of marijuana, 22 fighting roosters and more than $88,000 in cash were seized Saturday from a northwest suburban home, along with a number of weapons.
McHenry County Sheriff deputies searched the Woodstock home of Anthony Jayne, 54, and found more than 1,100 grams of marijuana, the cockfighting birds and the cash, police said.
Deputies also found two dead hawks, 43 marijuana plants, a shotgun, a small-caliber rifle, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, scales and other pot-packaging items, police said. Jayne was charged and ordered held on $30,000 bail. Sun-Times Media
