A two-alarm fire started at an apartment building Friday evening in the North Side Lincoln Square neighborhood.
The fire was reported about 8 p.m. at 2135 W. Ainslie Street, Fire officials said.
The blaze erupted on a rear porch of the 2 1/2 story apartment building and spread to a nearby house, officials said, adding that all residents safely exited the building.
The blaze was extinguished and no one was injured.
