7-year-old boy, girl shot on South Side

Two 7-year-old children were wounded in separate shootings Thursday on the South Side, officials said.
A girl was grazed in her thigh when a man arguing with another man after a basketball game fired a shot at 7:10 p.m. in the 13200 block of South St. Lawrence, police said. She was in good condition.
A boy was shot in the leg about 5 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Maplewood and was hospitalized in serious condition, police said. An 18-year-old man also was wounded on Maplewood.
