With his sudden stardom, Jeremy Lin of the New York Knicks is getting a ton of attention, even for the new wristbands he’s sporting. The thin, rubber bracelets come from Active Faith, a faith-based apparel company started by former professional basketball player Lanny Smith and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Anthony Tolliver. Smith and Tolliver attend Houston’s mega-Lakewood Church, where pastor and television preacher Joel Osteen is an avid basketball fan. Smith says other players wearing the bands include John Lucas III of the Bulls, DeAndre Jordan and Randy Foye of the Los Angeles Clippers, Quentin Richardson of the Orlando Magic and Landry Fields of the Knicks.
