Man drowns in retirement community pool in Grayslake

Authorities said a 77-year-old man drowned in a pool at retirement community recreation center in north suburban Grayslake.
Donald Parsons drowned about 7:55 p.m. Sunday in the pool at the Carillon North retirement community, Lake County Coroner Artis Yancey said.
He was pronounced dead at 9:02 p.m. at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Carillon North is “a private adult residential community for active adults 55 and over,” according to its website.
