State investigates death of 3-month old girl

The state Department of Children and Family Services is investigating allegations of neglect against the relative of a three-month-old girl who died Tuesday in the South Shore neighborhood, officials said.
A family member found the girl unresponsive at 7:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of South Kingston, police said.
DCFS has had no prior contact with the family, officials said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating the death.
