A driver involved in a fatal head-on collision with a CTA bus Sunday in the South Side Englewood neighborhood was charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI, officials said.
Liefem Okundaya, 27, also was accused of failing to reduce speed, failing to keep inside his lane and not having a license or insurance, officials said.
The crash happened 7:20 a.m. at 67th and Halsted streets.
The crash killed Okundaya’s passenger Simeon Allen, 30, of the first block of West 62nd, officials said.
None of the seven people on the bus wanted medical treatment, a Fire Media Affairs spokesman said.
After the crash, Okundaya was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious to critical condition, according to Fire Media.
